International Student Video Project

The International Student Video Project is a set of videos that address the pre-arrival, settlement, and integration needs of international students through the production of videos aimed at providing informative orientation content. It is made by current international students for incoming international students. The project allows current students to share their experiences with incoming students.

Topics for videos include, but are not limited to, information on the Canadian Health Care System, ways to become active citizens both on campus and within the community, utilizing the transportation system of the city, learning about housing (search, resolving roommate and landlord disputes, the regulations governing landlord-tenant relations), and life skills (healthy cooking, maintaining cleanliness, proper use of North American appliances).

The International Student Video project was produced in two universities in Atlantic Canada: Memorial University Newfoundland, and Dalhousie Univeristy, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and funded through the Knowledge Transfer Grant of the Atlantic Metropolis Centre.

Below are the links to the websites where the videos are to be found.
