Welcome to the 65th annual Atlantic Universities Geological Conference

The 65th annual Atlantic Universities Geological Conference (AUGC) is the oldest conference of its type in Atlantic Canada; where undergraduate Geology and Earth Science students share their current research by presenting to their peers and a panel of expert judges. Saint Mary’s University is excited to be hosting the AUGC from October 22 through 24. Each year’s AUGC schedule consists of field trips to learn local geology, student presentations, and various activities throughout. Field trips this year are to the UNESCO World Heritage Joggins Fossil Cliffs, Popes Harbour Dyke, Blue Beach, along with a short Forensic Geology workshop. The AUGC is a great chance for undergraduates to present and network with other students, professors, and industry representatives.
